Why Do You Wear A Mask?

Masks have quickly become the hot debate around the world. Citizens everywhere have had drastically different reactions to mask-wearing policies - some even resulting in protests, campaigns and demonstrations.
When we hear medical professionals suggest that 100,000 lives could be spared by the simplest measure of wearing a mask, how do we respond?
Do we rally as a community to protect each other? Or would we rather sacrifice a few of the 'vulnerable' to pay for our convenience?
